Mission Statement:

Community Services will assist residents of Fairfield County to become more self-reliant and improve their quality of life by providing medical and financial assistance, supportive services, and job skills enhancement.

  • SUCCESS COACH
    • Fairfield County Job and Family Services offers one-on-one coaching to individuals who are interested in finding employment. Success Coaches routinely make referrals and find the resources for training, education and other supportive services.

  • HEALTHY START/HEALTHY FAMILIES
    • Medical coverage is based on financial and other eligibility required according to household type. We have child and family coverage.

  • ASSISTANCE WITH FOOD
    • The Ohio DIRECTION Card virtually eliminates the use of paper food stamps, reduces fraud and makes the entire process of using the service much more efficient.

  • CHILD CARE
    • The Job and Family Services' Child Care Unit will assist families in removing childcare as a barrier to self-sufficiency by linking them to quality childcare options

  • EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE
    • The Prevention, Retention and Contingency (PRC) program connects families with resources when the family hits a snag and needs a little extra help.

  • TRANSPORTATION
    • Limited transportation assistance is available, to those who qualify, for medical and counseling appointments, and employment.

  • FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
    • Ohio works First (OWF) provides time-limited cash assistance to families meeting the eligibility rules.
